Personal Branding
Photo Sessions

for educators with an online business

Personal Branding Photography is so much more than headshots.

These sessions provide you with a collection of images that allow you to connect with your audience on a personal level that helps to grow your business. Your photos showcase your unique personality, and can be used in a variety of ways throughout your website, social media and marketing platforms.

As Educators, we want to buy from an actual person, not just a brand.

Your branding images will show not just what you look like, but who you are.

Your gallery may include headshots, pictures of you in action, styled images of your favorite things, and so much more.

What would it feel like if you had a gallery of images that…
Branding photo sessions should be fun… no, really, they can be. When we do them in a small group setting, none of us take ourselves too seriously. We are each other’s hype girls, and we have the time to get creative because we aren’t limited to a 2 hour shoot.

two experiences to choose from:

the meet up experience

Do you have a local group of Teacher Sellers or Online Business Besties that meet up in person a few times a year to share ideas and talk about your businesses? How about including a Personal Brand Photo Session in one of these meet ups?

the retreat experience

Do you plan Business Retreats for educators with an online business? Or maybe you’re part of a mastermind that includes an in person retreat. These 2-3 day getaways are not only the best way to collaborate and learn from each other, they are also a great time to have a Personal Branding Photo shoot for members of your group.
the meet up experience

Meet Up sessions are full day photo sessions for groups of 5-10 business buddies. I rent a photo studio or air bnb where we hang out, you still do your regular meeting, and we also shoot a lot of photos. Having a full day allows time for you to have your meetings, and to sit and chat about all the things… while I have time to meet with each of you to build your individual gallery. It gives us the freedom to be creative and try all kinds of set ups, with different outfit changes, props, and poses. We aren’t in a rush, and that makes a huge difference in how these sessions flow. Prior to the Meet Up Day everyone will have completed a questionnaire about their business so I’ll have an individual plan for each person before we even start. You’ll know what to bring- from clothes, to accessories, to props.

Meet Up Sessions include:

** Edits do include skin softening to remove blemishes, removal of background distractions such as overhead lights or signage. Edits do not include face or body alterations (eg: digital make up or hair additions, body slimming, etc.) Copyright for all images remains with Speaking of images.

I loved working with Kelly. She was organized, efficient, and strategic when taking my branding photos. I loved how she gave directions on how to pose while also giving me flexibility to get shots I wanted. She took her time to make sure we had TONS of photos that I could pick from. I can’t wait to work with her again!

Collaborating with Kelly was a breeze and surprisingly enjoyable. Despite my fear of being in front of the camera, she managed to put me at ease so I could get some flattering shots! She’s definitely got an eye for making people feel comfortable and capturing great shots.

My photo shoot with Kelly was fun and very comfortable! She captured candid and posed photos that I’ve used in blog posts, on resource credit pages, in social media posts, and to brand my TpT store. She allowed me to bring a variety of outfits and props, and we used two sites– my school and at a Teacher Meet Up. My images were shared digitally in a timely fashion and I was pleased with how natural and vibrant they turned out.

the retreat experience

The Retreat Experience sessions are for groups of up to 15, and take place over a couple of days–that’s right, I join you for your retreat, and capture a portfolio of images for the members of your group. Retreat sessions provide the time to capture the best natural light throughout each day, so we can include indoor and outdoor images…maybe even a visit to a local coffee shop, bookstore, or mural walls…and behind the scenes images of your group working, too.

These sessions require lots of pre-planning. Weeks before the retreat everyone will have completed a questionnaire about their business so I will have an individual plan for each person before we even start. You will know what to pack- from clothes, to accessories, to props… and I can research the local area for unique ideas on different settings. I meet virtually with the retreat leader to discuss the schedule for the days, so that the photo sessions won’t interrupt other planned activities.

Retreat session include:

** Edits do include skin softening to remove blemishes, removal of background distractions such as overhead lights or signage. Edits do not include face or body alterations (eg: digital make up or hair additions, body slimming, etc.) Copyright for all images remains with Speaking of images.

HOW IT WORKS

inquire

Send me a message about your planned Meet Up or Retreat and we can talk about the details. Pricing is dependent upon number of participants and travel expenses. When you’re ready to share with your group, I’ll provide you with all of the details to discuss with your business buddies, and we can make a plan. When you’re ready to book, each member will receive an individual contract and retainer information to put us all on the calendar.

plan

Each participant will receive a questionnaire to tell me about their business, brand, and image needs. Weeks before the Meet Up each person will know what to bring, and I will be available for questions. If you want to do a group zoom call for planning questions, that can work, too.

shoot + deliver

Your sessions will include lifestyle headshots, action shots, images with your working tools, and any other fun ideas we have planned. Within a few weeks of the Meet Up/Retreat each person will receive images via an online gallery.
Hi, I’m Kelly, the eye behind the lens.

Before I started working with Educators, I did Family Adventure photo sessions, documentary style–where I followed families to capture memories at Christmas tree farms, family lake houses, ferry rides to do a beach walk and grab ice cream… all kinds of adventures. It was so fun to see parents step out of the stress of the traditional posed “holiday card” shots, and just have fun with their kids.

Now I get to do that with Educators with an Online Business. Planning and working in groups at Teacher Meet-Ups or Retreats makes everyone more relaxed, and we cheer each other on. This is how I’m able to catch real laughter and smiles, ‘cuz we’re all just having a good time.

I love to travel, so it’s all just a big win-win for these sessions. Let’s gather a group of your business besties, and make a plan to update your branding images.

Please note that planning for these sessions generally happens 3-4 months at minimum before your Meet-Up or Retreat, to allow time for travel planning and gathering information about each participant’s image needs. Most, but not all, sessions take place over a weekend. I’d love to chat if you have any questions.
